Waterco’s MultiCyclone First Stage Filtration Device for Indiana Residential Swimming Pool

Thu, 9 Nov 2023

“Pool equipment must not only be reliable but also meet the demands of the environment.”

In Indianapolis, Indiana, where the summers are short, hot, and arid, owning a swimming pool is a luxury. And for local residents like Craig Heller living in an area with heavy spring pollen and high winds, pool equipment must not only be reliable but also meet the demands of the environment.

To help maintain perfect swimming conditions and conserve water, Heller installed Waterco’s MultiCyclone in his newly built 16’ X 37’ chlorinated pool, which holds 17,500 gallons of water.

MultiCyclone prevents up to 80 percent of the filter’s incoming dirt load, easing the workload of the pool’s filter media.

Furthermore, installing the MultiCyclone as a First Stage Filter to any filter (cartridge, sand, DE, etc.) can reduce maintenance to approximately once per swimming season, resulting in significant savings of water, and extend the life of cartridge elements and DE grids.

“This saves a lot of time and money.”

Ease filter workload

MultiCyclone prevents up to 80 percent of the filter’s incoming dirt load, easing the workload of the pool’s filter media. As the device intercepts more and more dirt, the system’s flow rates remain unchanged.
Special features of Waterco’s MultiCyclone include:
•    Spins out debris as small as 5 microns
•    Ideal for new and existing installations
•    Works with all equipment brands
•    Extends media filter cleaning cycles by at least 4 times
•    Dramatically reduces wastewater
•    Requires no additional pad space
•    Simple Installation

Since the installation of Waterco’s MultiCyclone, Heller has seen noticeable benefits.
“Not only is the clarity of the pool and spa water so much better but maintenance time has been reduced significantly by lowering the amount of water lost through the backwashing process,” he explains. “This saves a lot of time and money.”

Waterco’s award-winning MultiCyclone uses the most advanced centrifugal technology to ensure high water quality and clarity.

Saving valuable water during a drought

Drought is a prolonged dry period in the natural climate cycle that can occur anywhere in the world. Characterised by the lack of precipitation, which results in a water shortage, drought can have a serious impact on health, agriculture, economies, energy, and the environment.

Used in the Swimming Pool, Aquaculture, Agriculture, and Water Treatments sectors, Waterco’s MultiCyclone saves valuable water when installed as a First Stage Filtration device.
